Pullman Tokyo Tamachi: A Stay Review
Translated from my original Japanese post (2022). 日本語の原文を読む →
It's Yoko, the gourmet hunter living in hotels, @foodie_yoko! I live in hotels and eat out 365 days a year.
This time I came to Pullman Tokyo Tamachi! Many of you may not be familiar with "Pullman," but it's one of the brands of a French hotel group, ALL (Accor Live Limitless). There's also Ibis Styles and others, but I think Pullman is a step above Ibis in the brand ranking.
By the way, "Pullman" was originally a hotel brand run by an international sleeping-car company.
There's also a company called Pullman in the US that makes railway sleeper cars, and in Japan there's apparently a sleeper-train style called the "Pullman style"!

Pullman Tokyo Tamachi is a one-minute walk from Tamachi Station, so access is excellent.

Even though I was born in Tokyo I didn't know this, but Tamachi doesn't seem like a hotel area and yet there are actually quite a few. Though Shinagawa has more, of course.
The Lobby of Pullman Tokyo Tamachi
Inside the hotel, a Christmas tree greeted me.

It's a modern-style tree, like thin, pointed spikes growing up from the floor!
There was also a work space just for guests.

The work space has outlets, so working on a laptop is no problem.
You can even order drinks through mobile ordering. So convenient!

Next to the work space, for some reason, is a ping-pong table! And there's art on display.

More art in front of the elevators! This is a work called "Sharaku" by an artist named BAKIBAKI, which apparently expresses the world of kabuki as a fusion of tradition and innovation.
In the elevator, when you tap your card key, the button for your assigned floor lights up automatically, which was handy.

The corridor uses indirect lighting, and the atmosphere is calm!
The Room at Pullman Tokyo Tamachi

This time I was assigned room 412!

The card key came in a gray case and was a wooden type.
Inserting it into the slot inside the room turns on the lights, and with the push of a button you can request "Do not disturb" or "Please clean the room."

On the right as you enter is the closet. It holds a safe, loungewear, slippers, an iron and more.

The loungewear is a gray two-piece set. There was also a luggage area, so if you don't have enough to put in the closet, you can still take things out quickly.

The bathroom area is an open-vanity style with no bathtub, just a shower booth and a toilet.
The vase of flowers in the toilet gives off a sense of luxury hotel and breathing room.

The shampoo and body soap were surprisingly unbranded. The body lotion was from a brand called Bigelow.

The washbasin is across from the shower booth, and the work desk, refrigerator, espresso machine and so on are all arranged along this same counter.

The drawers hold quite a lot: toothbrushes, cotton pads, cotton swabs, a razor, a comb, a nail file, a shower cap and more.
There's no lotion, but when I called the front desk and asked, they gave me a Sekkisei one!

The hair dryer is a mid-size Panasonic.
There was also a bathroom scale.

The espresso machine is an illy. Most hotels have Nespresso, so illy feels fresh. You can choose from three kinds of coffee beans! Even the sugar is illy! The cups are illy! I can feel the commitment. lol

There was mineral water next to the phone, so I enjoyed a delicious espresso right away!

As for the fridge, it's packed pretty full. Those items are paid.

There's a variety of Lupicia teas too. They're free.

In the drawer are a kettle and a NIKKO teacup and saucer.

The chair feels a bit small and few for the room, but it has a cushion.
The slippers are soft and have the Pullman logo. They felt great to wear.

While the bathroom and desk areas are compactly arranged, the area around the bed feels quite spacious. The bed is big and the window is big too! By the bedside is a BOSE speaker, so you can play your favorite music.

There's small art on the walls inside the room, and plenty of light comes in through the window, so it's very cozy. Through the window you can see people walking around inside the building across the street. lol

The TV is mounted on the wall facing the bed and is large. You can watch Netflix and Amazon Prime too, so nothing to complain about.
Facilities at Pullman Tokyo

While exploring the hotel, I found all sorts of things on the 9th floor! There was a banquet room, a bar, an executive lounge and a fitness center. This is probably the banquet room!

This is the fitness center. It had quite a lot of treadmills and strength machines.

The bar wasn't open, but breakfast and dinner were being served, so I snapped the menu.
Pullman Tokyo Tamachi's restaurant "KASA" offers afternoon tea and dinner at fairly reasonable prices, so I recommend it! I couldn't go this time, so I'd love to try it next time!
Events at Pullman Tokyo Tamachi

The night I stayed, a DJ was in the lobby! An art event called "NFT ART EXHIBITION at PULLMAN TOKYO TAMACHI" also seems to have been held this June, so if there's an interesting event, I recommend dropping in!
Who Pullman Tokyo Tamachi Is Right For
Pullman Tokyo Tamachi is a one-minute walk from Tamachi Station, with perfect access! The hotel is modern and full of different artworks, so I think people who love art will enjoy it especially.
If you're curious, please go check it out!
