Aloft Osaka Dojima: A Stay Review
Translated from my original Japanese post (2022). 日本語の原文を読む →
I'm Yoko, a gourmet hunter who lives in hotels, @foodie_yoko. I spend 365 days a year living in hotels and eating out.
Night 5 of my Marriott Platinum status run! I came to Aloft Osaka Dojima!
Aloft is a casual, pop-design hotel brand within Marriott, close in spirit to Moxy!
By the way, "Aloft" apparently means things like "high up, in the sky, upward."
True to its name (?), it's a hotel that lifts your spirits!

Aloft Osaka Dojima is a 10-minute walk from Osaka Station (Umeda Station), a convenient location.

Above the Aloft entrance there's a rainbow-colored design.
The lobby feels like Moxy with the sexiness taken out: casual and lively.

A large three-dimensional display hangs from the ceiling, and the video keeps changing.
It feels so futuristic!

Check-in was extremely crowded, so I waited on a sofa looking at the small car on display.
I waited quite a while. It's a popular hotel, so it may be best to go early.
I was assigned a room on the 6th floor!
Facilities at Aloft Osaka Dojima
The facilities at Aloft Osaka Dojima are similar to Moxy's.

The coin laundry. Drum-type washers! I definitely prefer drum-type machines for coin laundry.
With the kind where washing and drying are separate, you have to keep going back to take the laundry out...

There's a gym too.
It has dumbbells, strength-training machines, treadmills, and more, so the equipment is fairly serious!
The room at Aloft Osaka Dojima

The inside of the elevator is as dark as a club! The blue lights give it a shady vibe, lol
The floor-number display is stylish!

This is the 6th-floor elevator hall! A dimly lit corridor, and my room was 612!

Into the room. It's an out-basin style (the vanity is in the room itself). The bathroom area is at the front, and beyond a wall is the bedroom.

Across from the vanity are the toilet and the shower booth.
The toilet is the latest type and clean. The shower booth walls are stylish three-dimensional tiles like icebergs!
There's a rain shower as well as a regular shower head.

Mineral water sits on top of the vanity. The amenities were PHARMACOPIA!
I like PHARMACOPIA's fresh citrus scent!

On the lower shelf of the vanity are towels, an iron, and a hair dryer.

The hair dryer was a Salonia. Loungewear and slippers were in the drawer of the luggage rack stand. The piping on the sleeves and collar is colorful and cute.

This is the room side. The bed is big!! The TV is on the right, so you turn a little to face it.
By the window there's an L-shaped sofa.

There's one round table at the bedside and one in front of the sofa. By height, working at them is a bit tough. There's no work space in the lobby either, so I think it's better for sightseeing.
On the desk, along with a welcome message card, were a neck strap and alcohol sanitizing tissues.

The sofa cushions have a geometric pattern. And the screen curtain has a geometric pattern too... or so it seems, but look closely and it's... Osaka dialect! lol
Every kind of Osaka-dialect phrase, like "What are you talking about! Leave it to me!", is worked into the design.
It's packed edge to edge with Osaka dialect, a bit like Hoichi the Earless with the sutras written all over his body, lol, but whoever came up with this has amazing ideas!!

On the wall opposite the sofa are a kettle and a refrigerator.
The fridge is my beloved DOMETIC, famous for its supreme quietness!!
The kettle is a De'Longhi. There are mugs, instant coffee, and so on. There are also paper cups, so you can take your coffee with you when you go out.

I tried on the loungewear and slippers. Yep, still cute.
Rather than plain loungewear, materials and designs that show each hotel's personality really lift my mood!
The bed is roomy, and I slept soundly!
Who Aloft Osaka Dojima is good for
Aloft Osaka Dojima is perfectly convenient from Osaka Station! The desk might be a bit tough for working, so it's best for sightseeing.
The design is pop and casual, so I recommend it for families with kids, couples, or a lively trip with a few friends!
If you're curious, give it a try!
