AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza: A Stay Review
Translated from my original Japanese post (2022). 日本語の原文を読む →
It's Yoko, the gourmet hunter living in hotels, @foodie_yoko! I live in hotels and eat out 365 days a year.
I'm working toward Marriott Platinum status, so I came to AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza! AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza is a Spanish lifestyle hotel brand, and this Ginza hotel is apparently its first in Japan.
Location of AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza

With "Tokyo Ginza" in the name, it's well placed for sightseeing in Ginza!

It's a four-minute walk from Ginza Station.
Incidentally, two other Marriott Bonvoy hotels, Courtyard by Marriott Tokyo Ginza Hotel and Aloft Tokyo Ginza, stand side by side with it, so the three are apparently called the Marriott brothers of Ginza... or maybe not...
Inside the hotel, artworks are on display.
The Lobby of AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza

The lobby is on the first floor. As I'll mention later, there's a welcome dessert service in the lobby.

There are some fairly formal seating areas, which seem usable for business meetings.
When I went, some kind of interview was going on.

After checking in, I headed to the elevator. The guest rooms are on floors 2 to 13. The restaurant "Logis d'Or" is on the 14th floor, with the rooftop above it.
Facilities at AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza

There's a gym (fitness center) too, though I didn't use it.

This is what the rooftop looked like! The weather was a bit off so there were covers over everything, but it looks like a great space to relax on a warm day!
The Room at AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza

I was assigned a room on the 8th floor!
When you open the door, the room stretches out wide!

The TV and bed face each other, which is my favorite layout!
The bed is nice and wide! The monochrome walls look cool!

The washbasin is in the room itself, an open-vanity style!
You can get your face close to the mirror, so you don't need a separate makeup mirror. It has a light, too.
The toiletries were from the Greek brand "KORRES"! They began as a pharmacy and use natural ingredients, so even people with sensitive skin might be able to use them. The scent said "citrus," but it was kind of dark and calm... I thought it was fairly men-oriented.

To the left of the washbasin is the shower room! This is a room type without a bathtub. The shower room walls are all stone, which gives a sharp impression. There's a rain shower too.

The toilet is separate from the shower room!
The whole area in front of the bed, under the TV, can be used as a low table, which is handy if you have a lot of luggage.

Look left from the low table and you'll find the desk and the refrigerator. The fridge is a quiet type, and on top of it are a Nespresso machine and mineral water.
Maybe because they expect you to use it for the Nespresso, there are four bottles of mineral water in total!

Inside the fridge, glass cups are chilled, and there are also mugs and a teacup with a saucer. The attention to drinks seems impressive! lol

The mugs were from a brand called MOHEIM.
There were two kinds of Nespresso, including a decaf, so people who don't do well with caffeine can drink it too.

The closet corner has shoe polish and slippers. The slippers are an unusual black!

And to the right of the bed, there's a sofa, plus a table and chair! What a luxurious setup! If you work better in a tight space, use the desk by the wall; if you want to stretch out while working, or just grab a bite, use this table.
There's also an outlet beside the sofa, so you can lounge around on your phone.

Of course there are outlets by the bedside too. The sockets were the overseas type, which is probably convenient for international guests.
The loungewear was a cool gray two-piece set. The fabric was soft and comfortable!

In the evening, potpourri is handed out in the lobby! I put it by my pillow and slept soundly, surrounded by a lovely scent.
Breakfast at AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza
Breakfast is served at the restaurant on the first floor!

It's a half-buffet style breakfast, and for the egg dish you can choose between a cazuela dish, "Flamenca eggs," or an omelette.
A cazuela is a traditional Spanish earthenware dish, and the word apparently means pot or stew in Spanish.
It comes with either ramen or pho, and for everything else, like salad and fruit, you go and get it yourself from the buffet counter!

By the windows, the big windows are open, so you can have breakfast in an airy space.

I grabbed a seat near the terrace and went to the buffet.
There were mixed orange juice, cranberry juice, soy milk, milk, umeboshi (pickled plums), kinpira gobo (braised burdock), shibazuke (pickled vegetables), pickled napa cabbage, natto, wasabi, sasa-kamaboko (fish cake), tamagoyaki (rolled omelette) and blueberry yogurt.

Pudding, fruit, tomatoes, duck, salami, prosciutto and cheese, and salad.
The cured meats are well stocked.
Breads included croissants, white bread, campagne, rolls, margherita savory, almond hazelnut danish, waffles, lemon cheese custard and churros, among others.

There were also doughnuts, which I sometimes see at other Marriott Bonvoy hotels.
I'd also missed the pate de fruits that come as the welcome dessert, so I asked and they brought me some!

So here's my plate with the main dish and the food from the buffet!
It's somehow heavy on carbs!? lol
And overall it's mostly Western food.

It was cold, so the pho really hit the spot, and it was fun that you could eat a whole mandarin orange.

Under the Flamenca eggs was something like ratatouille.
Who AC Hotel by Marriott Tokyo Ginza Is Right For
AC Hotel has an urban, stylish feel!
If you like cool, sleek design, I think this is your kind of place.
The roomy desk makes it perfect for anyone who wants to work while feeling a bit luxurious, and since there's a potpourri service in the evening, I recommend it for people who want to sightsee a lot and then rest well too!
If you're curious, please go stay there!
