Super Hotel Premier Akihabara, Ladies' Room: A Stay Review

Translated from my original Japanese post (2022). 日本語の原文を読む →

It's Yoko, the hotel-hopping gourmet hunter! I live in hotels and eat out 365 days a year.

I'm currently wandering around the Akihabara area.
This time I'm introducing the Ladies' Room at Super Hotel Premier Akihabara, where I stayed recently.

Getting to Super Hotel Premier Akihabara

It's a 3-minute walk from Akihabara Station on the Hibiya Line to Super Hotel Premier Akihabara, so access is excellent.
It's in a quiet spot along the Kanda River.

The lobby of Super Hotel Premier Akihabara

Take the elevator up to the lobby floor, where the front desk is.
Look at the notice above the buttons! At Super Hotel Premier Akihabara, the elevator tells you when a parcel delivery has arrived.

Other Super Hotels have the same service. It's handy for people staying long term.

At other hotels the front desk might call your room, but with a notice in the elevator you can pick up the parcel on your way out, which is convenient!

You can check in at the automatic check-in machine.

The hotel's mascot dog, Moe, was in the lobby to greet me! It was just after New Year, so she was wearing an adorable shrine maiden costume, lol.

There's also an amenity bar in the lobby.
Since this was the Ladies' Plan, I got to pick as many as 10 amenities!
That's Super Hotel Premier Akihabara for you, so generous!

At Super Hotel Premier Akihabara, the drink bar opens in the evening.
And amazingly, the alcohol is all-you-can-drink too!!

The lounge has dim lighting and is a relaxing space.
I'd already been drinking elsewhere that day, so I stuck to ginger ale, lol.

The Ladies' Room at Super Hotel Premier Akihabara

Into the room! No Super Hotel has card keys.
You unlock the door by entering a password.

The window doesn't face a main street, and with the Kanda River next door, it's very quiet.

Items in the Ladies' Room

Since this was a Ladies' Room, it comes equipped with lots of nice extras.

Item no. 1 in the Ladies' Room is the "actress mirror"!
It's handy for doing makeup even though there's no separate vanity area in the unit bath.

The tablet next to it is a great feature. You can check how crowded the hotel is, adjust the room lighting (warm or daylight white), play soothing music, and more.
The most impressive part is the morning alarm. At the time you set, it can turn on the lights, air conditioner, TV and so on!

Item no. 2 is the hangers, which are designed so your clothes keep their shape.
No. 3 is the luggage rack. This is something I'd appreciate in any hotel, not just a Ladies' Room.

Ladies' Room item no. 4
In the bathroom there's a ReFa shower head. (The large public bath has them too.)

No. 5
A ReFa hair dryer as well. This one is crazy expensive. The airflow is strong and it dried my hair easily.

No. 6
There's also a Salonia hair iron. With the ReFa and Salonia combo, you're guaranteed smooth, silky hair.

Ladies' Room item no. 7 is a mattress developed specifically for the female body.
No. 8! The "fuwa-mochi" (soft and bouncy) Ladies' pillow. Super Hotel lets you choose from several types of pillows, but in the Ladies' Room the default is low, and a fuwa-mochi Ladies' pillow is set out as well. It's a soft pillow.

Most of the Ladies' Room items fit on this shelf. The kettle, charging cables, fridge, mugs and tissues are all here. Everything is within reach, which is convenient.

The TV is about 50 inches and supports mirroring and casting.
I tried Amazon Prime and Disney+: mirroring didn't display for either, and casting only worked for Amazon Prime.
*This may depend on your own playback setup, so please keep that in mind.

Facilities at Super Hotel Premier Akihabara

Super Hotel Premier Akihabara has a large public bath filled with hot spring water brought in from Oku-Yugawara.
So I changed and headed straight over!

You can go to the hot spring in your loungewear and slippers! The loungewear is a one-piece style that's easy to put on and take off, and the slippers are sturdy. There's even a bag in the room for carrying things to the bath.
There are no towels at the public bath, so don't forget to bring one from your room, lol!

Natural hot spring "Oku-Yugawara no Yu" public bath

The women's bath requires a dedicated password to enter, so security is solid! The bath water is recirculated, but it's brought in from far-off Oku-Yugawara.

Coin laundry

There's a coin laundry where washing and drying are separate machines, and the detergent is free to use.

Service at Super Hotel Premier Akihabara

As at other Super Hotels, the service is very polite, and I really appreciated the drink bar and that the public bath is open all night until morning.
By the way, if you bring a completed survey or an unused toothbrush, you can get a treat!
