Okinawa Kariyushi LCH: A Stay Review
Translated from my original Japanese post (2022). 日本語の原文を読む →
It's Yoko, the hotel-living gourmet hunter, @foodie_yoko! I live in hotels and eat out 365 days a year.
Over Golden Week, I stayed at OKINAWA KARIYUSHI LCH.RESORT on The Beach (Okinawa Kariyushi LCH)!
It's run by Kariyushi Co., Ltd., which operates many hotels centered on Okinawa.
I found it while looking for a beachfront hotel at an affordable price.
Location of Okinawa Kariyushi LCH

Okinawa Kariyushi LCH is in Kise, by address.
It's 120 minutes from the airport by limousine bus, or 70 minutes by car.
In Okinawa a car is usually more convenient, but I'm a paper driver (licensed but never drive) and my friend had just gotten her license, so this time we toughed out the two-hour bus ride...
We took a late-arriving LCC flight and stopped at the airport to buy pork-and-egg onigiri (a popular Okinawan shop), so by the time we reached the bus stop nearest the hotel it was pitch dark (22:00 by then).
Luckily, there's a Lawson right next to the hotel!
We stocked up on water and headed to the building with the front desk.

There are houseplants at the hotel entrance.
There are paintings around the elevators too. It really feels like you've arrived somewhere tropical!

The hallways have wood-style flooring, so it was easy to roll a suitcase along!
I was worried about the Wi-Fi speed, but it was decent.
Okinawa Kariyushi LCH Room

The room has everything you need packed in right by the entrance. The fridge is behind a cabinet door, and there's a safe. The slippers were sturdy ones, not disposable.
There were three of each cup, so I think the room sleeps three, but with three suitcases it might be tight for floor space. We had backpacks, so we had plenty of room!

I had an English lesson at midday, so I tested the Wi-Fi again at the table: 14 Mbps, and it dropped out now and then, lol. I got through it on my Rakuten Mobile data. By the way, the TV remote was inside the table.

The bathroom area is very compact, as you can see! lol It's separated from the room by a frosted glass door.
There's no bathtub, only a shower booth. Shampoo and other toiletries are provided.

If a tall person uses the toilet, their knees might hit the shower booth, lol
Still, it's an extremely affordable hotel, so it's more than enough!

It's a twin room, but with one double-size bed and one single.
If two people come, one of you will end up in the narrower one.
The pillows were firm.
The best part was that the balcony has an ocean view! There are chairs, so you can just zone out out there!
Okinawa Kariyushi LCH Pool

When we went down to the first floor, the crystal-clear sea spread out right in front of us. So beautiful! Maybe because the hotel had only just opened, the pool wasn't crowded and it was comfortable!
It was also pouring rain, though! lol

We were also able to use the pool and the large public bath at Okinawa Kariyushi Beach Resort Ocean Spa, a five-minute walk from Okinawa Kariyushi LCH! It's in the same hotel group, so guests apparently can use each other's facilities.
Okinawa Kariyushi Beach Resort Ocean Spa is a much bigger hotel than Okinawa Kariyushi LCH, and it was lively with lots of families with kids! Its large public bath, "Mori no Yu" (Forest Bath), has a sauna and a cold plunge, and it was perfect for easing the tiredness of travel...
Who Okinawa Kariyushi LCH Is Good For
This time it was a shockingly low ¥24,735 for two people for 3 nights. It's a recently opened hotel so it's clean, and above all it's beachfront with an ocean view. It doesn't show in the photos, but the TV is big and we could watch Netflix, so it really was great value.
If you want to keep your travel costs down while staying near the sea in Okinawa, definitely check it out! See you next time!
