The Kise Burger at The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa

Hi, it's Yoko (@foodie_yoko), the gourmet hunter who lives in hotels! I live in hotels and eat out 365 days a year.
During my stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa, I had the Ritz's original gourmet burger, the "Kise Burger"!
The teppanyaki restaurant "Kise" at The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa
The Kise Burger is served at "Kise," the teppanyaki dining restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa.
Kise is the name of the area where the Ritz Okinawa is located.

You cross a passage and enter the restaurant.

In the evening, "Kise" serves a teppanyaki dinner.
The limited lunch menu item at The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa: the "Kise Burger"
The Kise Burger at The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa is a burger that makes generous use of Okinawan ingredients, with a patty of 100% Okinawan Japanese black beef and fries of purple sweet potato and goya (bitter melon).
One thing to note: it's limited to 30 per day, at Sunday lunch only, so it's better to make a reservation!
I booked ahead too and went in looking forward to it.
So I took photos of it being made.

First they grill the bun, the patty and the bacon.

I chose ginger ale as my drink. It's fun to watch the Kise Burger come together while you drink!
You don't often get to see a hamburger being made on a teppan grill.

Next, a generous amount of cheddar cheese goes on the patty, with a sprinkling of pepper.

They cook it until the cheese is crispy!

Then the burger is assembled: bun, patty with crispy cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon and special sauce, stacked in that order.

Finally, a heap of purple sweet potato and goya fries goes on top, it's sandwiched with the bun, and a bamboo skewer goes through it.

It was really big, so two of us split it. They even grill the cut sides after halving it, which is so thoughtful!

It was plated for us.
Even half is about the size of one ordinary burger. Lol.

You can't just pick it up and eat it normally, so you use a paper bag.

The paper bag even has the The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa logo on it!

Yes, it's easy to eat.
It looked like it would taste very heavy, but it turned out to be a surprisingly light hamburger.

On the way out of the restaurant, the chef for some reason gave us sweets!
Maybe because I'd used Kise twice, at lunch and at dinner?!
