Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo: The Menu in Photos

Translated from my original Japanese post (2019). 日本語の原文を読む →

Good evening! It's Yoko, your food blogger.

I wrote about the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo, which I visited today,

and it turned out to be such a huge piece that I split it into two articles!

For what the inside looks like and how long you'll wait, head here.

Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo: The Complete Guide to Every Floor

2019-04-30

This article covers the menu you can enjoy at Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo!

You can check the drink menu on the official site, but you can't know what food there is until you go,

so I've put together the food menu with photos wherever I could.

I also wrote about what I actually ate and drank, out of so many tempting options, in the second half, so use it as a reference.

Menu at Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo

Let's check the menu while we wait for our turn.

I photographed as much of the 1st-floor and 3rd-floor menus as I could!

Menu you can order at the 1st-floor MAIN BAR

Tap each photo to enlarge it.

The white paper menu is the list of coffee beans available that day.

There was a menu of coffee and ice cream (like affogato), and a coffee tasting flight menu.

The cold brew and espresso menu.

There were English menus too! Lots of overseas tourists were there, so this is handy.

By the way, you can order bread at the same time as your drink at the main bar, so if you don't want to wait too long, order them together.

Menu from PRINCI, the bakery from Milan

PRINCI's breads make it impossible not to buy something.

(You can buy these at several other spots in the building, too.)

I couldn't find a paper menu at PRINCI, so use the product photos as a reference.

Trofie pesto (pasta with Genovese sauce): ¥880
Frangipane apricot (apricot tart): ¥700

Tiramisu: ¥620
Cheesecake lampone: ¥700
Cremosa al pistacchio: ¥750
Delizia al limone: ¥780

The bread was selling out as fast as I could photograph it, so there are plenty I didn't manage to capture!

The "granola yogurt and berries (¥640)" for breakfast

and the "baked egg with porcini (¥960)" cooked in a dedicated oven seem to be especially popular.

Menu you can order at the 3rd-floor Arriviamo Bar

Even when it's crowded, the staff explain the menu carefully to each guest,

but the prices are fairly high and there's such a wide variety that I had a hard time deciding... (sweat)

If you can, I recommend deciding what you want to order beforehand!

You can check the drink menu on the official site

If you'd like to see photos of the drinks, you can check the official website.

What I Drank and Ate This Time

After touring the 1st through 4th floors, I went back down to the 1st floor,

and first I had coffee at the counter along with the bread I bought at PRINCI.

Then I had alcohol on the 3rd floor, and everything together came to ¥6,500, lol.

1st floor: Starbucks Reserve and PRINCI

Mini cornetti mirtillo: ¥220
Mini cornetti lampone: ¥220
Focaccia pizza sausage, spinach and fresh ricotta: ¥920

A focaccia-dough pizza topped with spinach, coarse-ground sausage and ricotta cheese.

You get the savory flavors of both vegetables and meat, and it was delicious!

The little pies are raspberry and blueberry. The pastry was flaky and these were delicious too.

Clover Brew, Tall, Iced, Paradisi Blend: ¥960
Coffee brewed with the hyper coffee machine "Clover" I mentioned earlier. You can choose the beans.

It was a coffee with refreshing acidity and little bitterness.

Americano con Crema: ¥800
A warm orange-scented Americano topped with cold cinnamon-scented foam.
Demerara sugar sprinkled on top brings out the flavor of the whole drink.

I was surprised how incredibly fine the foam on the orange-flavored Americano is.

Normally milk foam disappears quickly, right? But this is a dense foam like marshmallow whip that holds for a long time.

With each coffee I ordered, I got a sparkly card.

The back has a description of the coffee beans... If you start collecting them, you could fall down the rabbit hole.

Next I headed up to the 3rd floor for alcohol.

3rd floor: Arriviamo Bar

I figured if I was going to order, it should be a Tokyo-exclusive cocktail!

But all three of the limited menu items are apparently around 30% alcohol, and the staff tried hard to talk me out of it, lol.

They asked "Are you sure?" again and again, but I went for it.

New Tokyo Fashion: ¥2,000
A bourbon-based Old Fashioned reworked with Japanese whisky and umeshu (plum liqueur).

It's whisky mixed with umeshu, so I can see why someone who doesn't drink much couldn't handle it... lol

But the scent of cherry leaf and the bitterness of coffee were a nice accent, and it was delicious!

It might be good topped up with soda, too.

Terrace Lager: ¥900

I tried a beer too (left). It was strongly bitter, not to my taste, so I couldn't drink much.

Mixing drinks made me a little tipsy, but I refreshed myself with the sparkling water chaser.
(You could get refills.)

The cocktail descriptions on the back of the coaster are cute, too.

How to Get to Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo

Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo is an 11-minute walk from Nakameguro Station, on the Meguro River in Aobadai, Meguro-ku.

It's a very large store with 1,200 square meters of floor space, and there's a crowd in front of the entrance, so you'll spot it easily as you walk along the river.

Give yourself plenty of time and enjoy the luxurious Starbucks experience!
